Why..
This is my problem with professors, technical books/manual writers, experts and so on.. If these people claim to be experts, they should be able to dumb down a topic and explain it at any level. But you seldom see this. 99.99% of the books I have read, avoid the really tricky real world problems. Professors just throw slides at you and never appear to me as if they really know the subject. If they knew it, they wouldn’t be so ambiguous.. but who listens and who cares!
I am mad, I am totally mad at this attitude.. that’s all.
You know, I have been there too.. and I know how reluctant you are to dumbify something that only you know and to reduce its mysterious importance in others eyes that way. But if you have taken it upon yourself to be the teacher by way of being a college professor or a book’s author or a speaker, it becomes your duty to make sure people understand what you are talking about.
