Are you in a Mid-Life crisis?

Although I don’t believe such a thing exists on a scientific level, here are some symptoms I can imagine.

Consider yourself in a mid-life crisis if -

  • You are getting nostalgic about the past lately
  • You think cutting your hair short makes you look younger
  • You think tight T-shirts suit you better
  • You get unusually happy when you buy from Forever-21 or American Eagle or Hollister or Abercombie.
  • You start believing in stories of young girls dating married old men
  • You say you don’t remember your age on your birthday
  • You start becoming ambiguous about your age in general - you prefer to use floor() instead of round() on your age. You fight with all your liar’s might to stay below 40.
  • …..

  • You just bought a motorcycle
  • You start working out, because you think it might be your last chance to actually be fit
  • You are more motivated to finish your projects before your mental faculties deteriorate or you get too lazy
  • You find sites like Facebook annoying because you don’t want to keep up with the latest tech fads all the time
  • You realize you’re closer to 40 than to 30 and are momentarily disturbed by that thought

I'm Back..

Somehow, sometime in 2018 or so, most of my self-hosted Blogs got attacked with crazy junk and I had to take them down one by one.. Life kept happening and I lost touch with Blogging. Almost 9 years after my last post, I have revived somik.net and three of my Blog sites including this. Is Life Fair to You?

 Hello everyone! Well I just recently had my annual review. And as usual, I came out with the same feeling as always.. Dissatisfaction! But can you blame me? Tell me one thing, is there anyone here who thinks that he deserves less than what he is already getting? Is there anyone who says, oh, I am a pretty useless fellow, so I don’t really deserve this increment or bonus or whatever it is.. Does it ever happen? No, everyone in fact, feels like Life has not been fair to them.. My dear (friends), is Life fair to You?… Don’t even think about it, the answer to this question, is almost without exception, a big NO! A secondary corollary to this is – “Life is fair, but to someone OTHER than me..”! And the irony of this is, Each one of us thinks this way! 🙂 Well, we are all human beings.. and we like to complain.. That’s understandable, nothing wrong with that! It’s in our genes..
