This Place..

One of my most favorite scenes in a movie is the animated sequence in ‘Time Machine’ where the whole world changes around the house - from this point in time to millions of years in the future. You see the house getting older, then collapsing and things just keep happening around it, wars get fought, climates change, landscapes change, new people appear, all kinds of things happen.. all at the same location.

It kinda’ puts certain things in perspective in my opinion. The things we are so passionate about.. I am this, I am that, this is my house, my car, this is where I belong, this land is mine, .. is so short lived. Nobody even knows you existed at that location on earth in a few years. If one just thinks about it, all the great people in the history, walked the same earth that we are walking on now which was walked on by Dinosaurs some millions of years ago. I mean, where does that leave a single human being?

This is bad! I don’t like it. With all the intelligence and arrogance in the world, individually, we are a nobody……. until we learn how to time travel!

I'm Back..

Somehow, sometime in 2018 or so, most of my self-hosted Blogs got attacked with crazy junk and I had to take them down one by one.. Life kept happening and I lost touch with Blogging. Almost 9 years after my last post, I have revived somik.net and three of my Blog sites including this. Now hosted by a more reliable Blogger.com platform, I am less worried about my blogs getting attacked🤞 So here I am.. I don't know what I am going to write. Is Life Fair to You?

 Hello everyone! Well I just recently had my annual review. And as usual, I came out with the same feeling as always.. Dissatisfaction! But can you blame me? Tell me one thing, is there anyone here who thinks that he deserves less than what he is already getting? Is there anyone who says, oh, I am a pretty useless fellow, so I don’t really deserve this increment or bonus or whatever it is.. Does it ever happen? No, everyone in fact, feels like Life has not been fair to them.. My dear (friends), is Life fair to You?… Don’t even think about it, the answer to this question, is almost without exception, a big NO! A secondary corollary to this is – “Life is fair, but to someone OTHER than me..”! And the irony of this is, Each one of us thinks this way! 🙂 Well, we are all human beings.. and we like to complain.. That’s understandable, nothing wrong with that! It’s in our genes..
